  • The FoodStore Restaurant - Auckland Viaduct

    Restaurant Name: The Foodstore
    Location: Viaduct
    Rating: 4/5
Contact: Phone 09 377 0125 or Book Online

If you watch NZ Food TV, you will have seen the advertisements and short clips from The FoodStore.

It is an open-plan restaurant on Auckland's Viaduct, with most tables having a clear view of the large, square area in the middle where all of the chefs can be seen preparing dishes.

Cameras mounted above the benches display a close view of what is going on, with other monitors playing Food TV and Sponsor ads.

I visited the restaurant last week, the atmosphere was relaxed, with a friendly greeter taking us to our table outside fairly quickly.

Everything on the menu is New Zealand produce, including the drinks, with every meal coming in Starter or Main options.

As we were planning to share, and taste as many things as possible, we ordered the Scampi Ravioli and Smoked Venison as starter size, and Fish and Chips and Pork Belly as main size. A side of glazed carrots (orange, yellow and purple) and a Rocket/Parmesan/Pear salad completed the meal nicely.

    Glazed Carrots

    Scampi Ravioli on Sweetcorn Custard

    Rocket, Parmesan and Pear Salad

Smoked Venison with Aloe Vera Gel Cubes

    Fish and Chips

    Pork Belly
